There has been much commentary about the fault on both sides of the aisle for where we are today. Neither side in my opinion has brought solutions forward. Perhaps it is because they are too pig headed to admit that they can’t say and do what needs to be said, out of fear for their own contributions from special interests retribution if they act according to the average American citizens best interests. I have sadly come to realize that almost all of us know we have deep rooted problems and most of us with a little conversation can zero in on the issues and what we think the cures should be… yet we have elected leaders that act as if the BIG and ENORMOUS obvious issues just aren’t within their grasp. NO, sadly it is that they do not want to act because our interests are no longer aligned with their own political survival interests.

Most of us know it is about getting the budget balanced and cutting our spending to match our income. Increasing our exports and reducing our imports. Protecting our borders and inspecting goods shipped into this country. Downsizing the burden and cost of government that is being asked of us to pay for. Today the government gets more of many of our paychecks than we take home once you account for all taxes, local, state, user fees, etc. Something is wrong with that picture.

We keep finding new taxes and increasing the burden on the those that own business and make more than $75,000 per year. The answer is to completely radically simplify the tax code and make it reflective and proportionate to our income by consumption… where we all have the acumen to make consumer choices. Eliminate income tax in favor or a workforce voucher tax on all persons and 1099 employees so that we can invest those funds into our own workforce benefits that can be regulated and provided much more efficiently by the private sector with government guarantees on policy coverage and amounts. Shift the banking system to a transactional tax system and reduce all other forms of taxes on wealth in favor of consumption and use taxes. Everyone rich or poor spends money on what they need. This is not only the most efficient and simplest form of taxation it is a much larger amount. All people pay their fair share. Taxes being paid once per year are invasive and scary.. paying as we go solves that problem and increases the actual amount and percentage of taxes paid and not defaulted upon.

Lastly, while the Obamacare is being attacked and dismantled and I am not a huge supporter of government managed healthcare… again I hear no solutions being brought forward as to how to cover those 60 Million working Americans that cannot get adequate private insurance and/or it is simply not affordable within their budget.

Finally, we have to address term limits… having these politicians become career politicians has been what has created the the lack of creativity innovation in Congress. Those we elect and those that serve us in public service should have the same benefits and living conditions as those the serve.
